Congratulations to Fiachra, p7, who was runner up in the Mid-Ulster District Council public speaking competition today. After Fiachra won through tough competition in school yesterday, under the watchful eye of judge Michelle Gildernew, he was up against schools from all over the Dungannon, Cookstown and Magherafelt areas. He first performed his speech 'I have a Dream', on the topic of Reducing Food Waste, to win his section in the morning. In the afternoon he performed again to become runner up in the whole competition! Without a doubt the tough competition in school made him raise his game! Well done to all who worked so hard on their speeches.
